Trainée Social Media Marketing

We are two successful companies working in the entertainment industry. The well-known CHAMÄLEON Theatre, located right in the heart of Berlin, inside the Hackeschen Höfe and the production company Circle of Eleven, which is in charge of the entertainment inside the theatre as well as operating a large, world-wide touring business with their productions.

We are looking for a young student/trainee or part-time employee who would like to work for us approximately 15-25 hours per week. The person will be in charge of all social media activities our two companies are undertaking such as:

- Develop and execute a successful Facebook & Twitter strategy that fits our business goals.

- Maintain our YouTube channels and supply them with new content..

- Update our Flickr account with any new show pictures, events and other catchy images.

- Monitor your success and present your results to the marketing- and directors team on a regular basis during weekly/monthly meetings.

- Research new developments in the field of social media which might become important to the businesses in the future or will be useful for current campaigns.

- Create a strategic plan to use QR (Quick Responds) codes for both companies to successfully incorporate those in all communication materials being used.

- Implement an online survey tool for all costumers, guests and visitors of the shows and measure the quality of our products, services and other KPIs.

- Assist the marketing team and the directors to incorporate future ideas into the business plan and budgeting process.

- Develop and send our monthly email newsletter as well as monitoring the relevant results.

What does it take to take on this role?

- We are looking for a person who is very familiar with the big social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, etc. That includes latest updates, marketing tools used by Facebook such as “Facebook Insights”, “Radian6” and/or “Google Analytics” to measure your success.

- You should have collected your first social media/marketing experience in other companies and/or during traineeships.

- You are fluent in German and English (spoken & written). You are confident to write small essays in both languages.

- You are creative in the way you approach projects and you are willing to go into new directions and “think outside the box”.

- You have collected your first experience in project management and know what is important if several people/departments are working towards one goal.

- You are interested in the entertainment, theatre and show business and have some knowledge about this field as well as a personal interest.

- You are familiar with the entertainment sector of Berlin; you know some competitors in that field and are able to compare them against each other.

- You must be available for 15-25 hours per week, at least six months in a row. (Not including holidays or off-work days)
