MR. BUNK - Shadow Puppet Comedy

He has finally made it to Germany.

Even though he has already won countless awards in the UK, USA and Canada, he is still our insider tip here in Berlin: MR BUNK - The puppet show genius and all-round eccentric who tells magical stories made out of light and shadows, while a talented trio provides the live accompanying music. He by no means remains in the background, but becomes one of his most whimsical figures. He creates an obscure world full of strange creatures with eccentric humour and magical charm by allowing the captivated audience to take an interactive part in creating his shadow creatures. It's very Tim Burtonesque.

MR BUNK, aka Jeff Achtem, initially studied in Montréal at the "École de mime omnibus" and the "Le COQ Style" with clown legend Rene Bazinet (Cirque de Soleil). He was a performance puppetry master-class resident of the clown maestro Michel Dallaire at "le Hanger des Mines" in Southern France. He also worked with Neville Tranter and the Australian shadow master Richard Bradshaw.

After sweeping international success as MR BUNK the clown, Jeff Achtem redefined himself with his "Bunk puppets" as a shadow puppet comedy artist. his show is an obscure total work of art, giving his audience the creeps, making them laugh and bedazzling them at once. It has also won him numerous awards.
